The terms and conditions governing your use of Kolog Nigeria Limited's waste management services.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the provision of waste management services by Kolog Nigeria Limited (“Kolog”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a licensed Private Sector Participant (PSP) operator under the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), to you (“Customer”, “you”, “your”). By using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Kolog provides the following waste management services in the Sangotedo and Ajah corridor, Eti-Osa LGA, Lagos State:
Services are limited to non-hazardous waste. We do not collect or handle industrial waste, medical waste, chemical waste, or any materials classified as hazardous under Nigerian environmental law.
Service commences upon registration and confirmation of your account. Your collection schedule, service address, and applicable rates are specified in your account setup. Changes to your service (address, frequency, or type) must be requested through our customer support channels and are subject to availability and route feasibility.
As a customer, you agree to:
Invoices are generated monthly and sent to the email address associated with your account. Payment is due by the date specified on the invoice. Payment can be made through our secure billing portal via bank transfer, card payment, or USSD. Late payments may be subject to a reminder notice after 7 days and a second notice after 14 days. Service may be suspended if payment is not received within 30 days of the invoice due date. Suspended accounts will be reactivated upon receipt of full payment of the outstanding balance.
Customers participating in the Kolog Recycling & Recovery Initiative may earn credits for separated recyclable materials. Credits are calculated based on the verified weight and type of materials collected and current market rates. Credits are applied as a deduction on the customer's next invoice and are non-transferable. Kolog reserves the right to modify credit rates and accepted materials with reasonable notice.
We make every effort to maintain consistent collection schedules. However, service may be disrupted due to severe weather, road conditions, vehicle breakdowns, public holidays, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Where a scheduled collection is missed due to factors within our control, we will arrange a makeup collection within 48 hours of being notified. Missed collections due to customer-side access issues (locked gates, blocked driveways, or waste not presented) are not eligible for free rescheduling.
Kolog exercises reasonable care in the performance of its services. Our liability for any damage to property during collection is limited to direct damages caused by the negligence of our employees or contractors, and does not exceed the value of one month's service charge. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the customer's failure to comply with their obligations under these Terms, including the inclusion of prohibited materials in waste presented for collection.
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please refer to our Complaints Procedure for details on how to raise and escalate a complaint. We take all complaints seriously and aim to resolve them within the timeframes specified in the procedure.
Either party may terminate the service agreement by providing 30 days' written notice to the other party. Kolog may terminate or suspend service immediately if the customer breaches these Terms, including non-payment beyond 30 days or repeated inclusion of prohibited materials. Upon termination, any outstanding invoices remain payable. Recycling credits accrued but not yet applied will be forfeited if the account has an outstanding balance at the time of termination.
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active customers by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
